Seven FEDESSA Nominations for Rafter Group in Dublin

Three brands. Three countries. Five award categories. A proud night for the group as our teams represented us brilliantly at the European self storage industry’s most prestigious awards ceremony.

The FEDESSA European Self Storage Awards took place in Dublin in October 2025. For Rafter Group, it was a night that reflected the breadth of what is being built across the platform, with Attic Self Storage, storemore Germany, and storemore Spain each nominated for work that matters to customers, to the locations they operate in, and to how the sector moves forward.

Seven nominations do not happen by accident. They are the result of teams who care about doing things properly, in marketing, in sustainability, in innovation, and in growth. Here is what each brand was recognised for.

Attic Self Storage

Marketing Campaign of the Year

Attic was nominated for a community-first campaign built around the launch of a new store in Enfield. Rather than a conventional awareness drive, the team invited the local community to nominate, and then vote for, the causes they wanted Attic to support. Six local organisations made the shortlist, including Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospice, Enfield Town FC, Cooking Champions, Exodus Youth Worx, The Nightingale Cancer Support Centre, and Enfield Ignations Rugby Club. For every vote received, Attic donated £5 to the relevant cause. The response was nearly five times the team’s expectations, and the donations that followed made a real difference to organisations that matter to people in the area.

storemore Germany

Marketing Campaign of the Year

The White Collar campaign took an unexpected approach to reaching storemore’s target audience. Rather than competing for attention in crowded digital channels, the team found a way to place the brand directly into the private lives of their customers — quiet, creative, and harder to ignore than a banner ad.

Sustainability Award

The nomination recognised the storemore Jena store, which opened earlier in 2025 as the brand’s tenth location. The building integrates a 98.56 kWp photovoltaic system, a 56.7 kWh battery, an intelligent heating and ventilation system that draws on live weather forecasts, EV charging for customers and the community, and a 700-square-metre bee meadow. The combined effect is a self-sufficiency rate of 78.4% — and a building that gives more back to its surroundings than most.

Innovation Award

storemore’s AI Box Size Finder tackles the most common reason first-time customers hesitate to book online: not knowing how much space they need. Customers upload a photo of their belongings and receive a unit recommendation in seconds, with a direct link to real-time availability and pricing. The tool addresses a genuine friction point.

Conversion of the Year

storemore Dresden is a listed 1928 printing plant — locally known as Poly-Druck — converted into storemore’s largest location to date at over 12,000 square metres. The project required close collaboration with heritage authorities, the restoration of over 300 listed windows, and navigating significant fire safety requirements. A fire at a neighbouring factory mid-build added a further setback. The team delivered despite it all, and the building now stands as one of the most characterful storage facilities in Germany.

storemore Spain

Marketing Campaign of the Year

The marketing nomination recognised a campaign built around a large-scale mural in Madrid’s Ciudad Lineal district — created in partnership with acclaimed artistic collective Boa Mistura — and the brand mascot Mr. Storemore, who has become a genuinely recognisable presence across the city. Together, they gave storage a face and a place in the community in a way that went well beyond advertising.

Multisite Operator of the Year

The multisite nomination recognised the strength of what the team has built across eight Madrid locations, anchored by the Móstoles store: Spain’s first self-storage building to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification, and a site that has outperformed local occupancy benchmarks in its first year of operation.

The Work Behind the Nominations

Seven nominations across three brands and three countries reflects something deeper than a single campaign or a good quarter. It reflects teams who are committed to getting things right — and a platform that makes it possible to share what works, raise the standard across markets, and keep pushing.

To everyone at Attic, storemore Germany, and storemore Spain who contributed to these nominations: this recognition belongs to you.
