New hires at Attic and Rafter Group
Rafter Group is announcing two key changes to the leadership team across the group with Gareth Morris joining as Managing Director of Attic and Richard Hodsden moving into the role of Non-Executive Chairman of the Group.
Gareth is a true expert in self-storage, bringing over 22 years of experience across management, operations, sales, and marketing, with a proven track record of driving technological change. Prior to joining Attic, Gareth spent over 20 years at Access Self Storage, where he progressed through key leadership roles, leading the operations for several years before taking on the role of CEO at UK Storage Company.

Gareth’s knowledge and expertise in scaling businesses in the sector makes him the ideal leader to continue to drive forward Attic’s growth journey.
Richard Hodsden returns to his role as Group Non-Executive Chairman, where his experience will be especially valuable in this next phase of growth. Richard has been with Rafter Group since 2020 and has been instrumental in its evolution over that period leveraging his experience in the sector having previously held the role of CFO at Safestore PLC.

Gareth commented:
“Attic has always been a business I’ve admired – a company that challenges the norm, with technology and customer service truly at the heart of everything it does. That focus aligns perfectly with my own aspirations of delivering a best-in-class storage experience for customers, while also building a fantastic place to work for our teams.“
I’m looking forward to working alongside the talented team at Attic as we continue to grow, innovate, and redefine what great storage can look like.”
Richard added:
“I’m delighted that Gareth has joined the business and it is great to see Attic in capable hands to continue to deliver a best-in-class experience to our existing and future customers. I’m pleased to move into the role of Chairman and excited to work with Gareth and the rest of the group’s senior team to continue building the business.”
